Dunceys in action, I mean inaction

People were falling down and the gunmen even had time to run away while police stayed right in the mobile unit. It was after a while that they came out and start to ask 'what just happen?', a resident said.

This is a quote from a Newsday story about dunceys in a mobile police post responding to a volley of gunshots at a wake. 7 persons were wounded. That's an awful lot of gunshots, what we would call a barrage even.

What the hell we paying those jackasses for? To sleep? By the time they wipe the 'yampee' from their eyes, everything done, and they could go back to sleep. Monkey Island indeed.
