Some cameras allow a lot to processing to take place in the camera before downloading to PC - a mini Photoshop engine of sorts. The problem is when details are lost in the initial exposure there is little even Photoshop can do to restore the details. You had the exposure right in this one.
No, but I must be getting old, coz I mistook the second pic for the original. You did a good job showing the moss, made me think it was the reak thing.:)
Chica, I enjoyed working on that photo because I just bought a tablet (a gift for Punks actually, I am teaching her to use Photoshop)and I can do everything now with a 'pen'.
I know a professional photographer who always says just give a child a camera and you will get the best pictures. Just let her take as many photos as she wants :)

I tried to show up the moss etc, and remove the 'haze' that the original photo had. The original photo was not showing up the finer details clearly.
Not to mention that the grass in the second is really closer to how it looks when you view it in real.
