Before
After a little Photoshop magic.
A few observations here and there.
You know, ever since Keith Rowley challenged Pa-trick for the top spot in the PNM, Pa-trick has been gunning for the poor man’s head. No joke. I mean, it is well documented that the man was reported to the Gordon Deane Integrity Commission which was receiving political instructions.
Rowley challenged the IC in court, which found that the IC acted with ‘malfeasance’. In other words, the IC was guilty of carrying out political directives which were deliberately designed and intended to ‘get’ Rowley.
All this over accusations that Rowley tief gravel from the Scarborough Hospital building site and channelled it to his wife’s building site at Landate, promptly earning Rowley a new nickname in some quarters. So, the issue became null and void, no further investigations were done and that matter was never completely explained. We will never know where the gravel went.
Then, (and still continuing) the Maximum Leader (no, not Max), made allegations that Rowley tief $10M from the Cleaver Heights project while he was line Minister in charge. Three (count them) separate investigations are currently going on into that (never mind Calder Hart ‘tief’ a lot more through UDeCOTT projects via overruns etc).
Getting back to Rowley though (we don’t want to get sidetracked by Hart), we hear that somehow (oh, sooo surprising!) AG John Jeremie was involved. This man like runny diarrhoea - everywhere!
Rowley seems to be intent on providing the shovel for the Maximum Leader (no, not Max) to bury him though.
…Rowley's claim that Jeremie once said: "They ain't have nothing on you. I have seen the file and it's an innocuous file; they have nothing on you'"
This is a direct quote, which means you are attributing that the man said these words to you. But then after:
"He said I am not lying but then he goes on to make a denial of having seen the report. I never said he saw the file. What I said was that he told me about the file," Rowley said.
Eh? In one quote you said (he said) he saw the file, now you backtracking and saying you never said he saw it? You only saying he said he saw it?
He said he said (not she said)… this is the game we getting from members of our Parliament time and time again, like Max (no, not Maximum Leader) and Father Charles who said Max (no, not Maximum Leader) said ‘is no big ting’ (on the issue of plagiarism), that Zainool said Max (no, not Maximum Leader) said he was going to be Deputy Chairman… Blimey, where does it end?
Now, politricks is a dirty business with a morality of its own but this is all getting to be a bit more confusing than I can handle. As Punks recently told me after I celebrated another birthday… “Dad, you were officially old last year, this year you’re sliding over the hill.”
I have to say, every time I think nothing a duncey will do could surprise me, I have to eat my words (or thoughts) because some duncey will come out and do something so infinitely dotish, you wonder how the hell Darwin ever saw “Survival of the fittest” in evolution.
I mean, take this duncey for example:
Female police officer Gillian Grogen charged Roma Sieunarine with seven charges, including her failure to produce her car insurance and driver's permit.
…the wrong law was used. Seunarine was only found guilty of parking in a no-parking zone, but was only reprimanded and discharged.
Bassaw [the magistrate] was also critical of the conduct of Grogen, who was alleged to have slapped Seunarine some 80 times during the altercation.
Is a wonder that Sieunarine woman ent buss some heavy hand on the duncey… then again, she must still have a lil ‘respect’ for them idiots. But to get slap 80 times?! Dat woulda be one duncey beating up on de ground if was me, yes.
This duncey break all past records for stupidity oui.
I pointed out before, every minister seems to be indicating ‘size’ in Parliament. I wonder what Karen pointing out to now?
Patrick small?
Okay, that’s a morbid title, but I always wanted to use it. Louis L’Amour wrote a book by the same name and the title stuck in my head since my teen years. (^_^)
Last night I was thinking about young talent wasted and the name Heath Ledger came to mind. Every one knows what a talented actor he was and how quickly his star was rising.
Sad to say, he was unfortunately gone way too soon from an overdose of prescription drugs.
That got me thinking about some other rising stars gone too soon.
Brandon Lee was the son of Bruce Lee and was accidentally killed on the set of the movie The Crow.
Jon Erik Hexum was a fast rising star in the early 1980s when he was also tragically killed (coincidentally also from an accident involving a prop gun).
Two men were digging a ditch on a very hot day. One said to the other, "Why are we down in this hole digging a ditch when our boss is standing up there in the shade of a tree?" "I don't know," responded the other. "I'll ask him."
So he climbed out of the hole and went to his boss. "Why are we digging in the hot sun and you're standing in the shade?" "Intelligence," the boss said. "What do you mean, ‘intelligence'?"
The boss said, "Well, I'll show you. I'll put my hand on this tree and I want you to hit it with your fist as hard as you can." The ditch digger took a mighty swing and tried to hit the boss' hand. The boss removed his hand and the ditch digger hit the tree. The boss said, "That's intelligence!"
The ditch digger went back to his hole. His friend asked, "What did he say?" "He said we are down here because of intelligence."
"What's intelligence?" said the friend.
The ditch digger put his hand on his face and said, "Take your shovel and hit my hand."
There was a battle going on (via a series of letters) between the AG John Jeremie, and the then DPP Geoffrey Henderson.
Oddly enough, I haven’t seen an explanation, nor can think of one, as to why Jeremie was writing , or corresponding with High Court Judge Humphrey Stollmeyer who was investigating Shermie’s corrupt land deal. That investigation is supposed to be fair, and unbiased, without influence of any sort. By the way, where is the report?
Once again, I point out that Jeremie has been in the middle of the most corrupt practices of the PNM for the past few years, and his actions make it in no way uncertain that he is defending cronies like Shermie, like Monteil, etc., to the point where he actually is breaking a few laws along the way.
Reason enough to resign, or be impeached for the good of us all.
On Tuesday past, Punks turned 11. Since her party was scheduled for yesterday, Tuesday promised to be a rather dull day. So I decided to liven it up a bit for her.
We had a father/daughter day, in the kitchen.
After almost 15 years, I tried my hand at baking. Well, I instructed Punks to try her hand, really. This is what she came up with.
She made a lemon cake, recipe taken from the second edition of the Naparima Girls’ cookbook. The icing at the top was done according to my sister’s directions (conference call through Skype).
She then had a most excellent time with her friends, scooping up the excess icing and getting rid of it. (^_^)
On Tuesday (her birthday), we cut the cake with some of her friends. It was a whole lot more delicious than we expected, (^_^) and was soon gone.
