Three days prior to his assassination, Abraham Lincoln related a dream he had to his wife and a few friends. According to Ward Hill Lamon, one of the friends who was present for the conversation, the president said: "About ten days ago, I retired very late. I had been up waiting for important dispatches from the front. I could not have been long in bed when I fell into a slumber, for I was weary. I soon began to dream. There seemed to be a death-like stillness about me. Then I heard subdued sobs, as if a number of people were weeping. I thought I left my bed and wandered downstairs. There the silence was broken by the same pitiful sobbing, but the mourners were invisible. I went from room to room; no living person was in sight, but the same mournful sounds of distress met me as I passed along. I saw light in all the rooms; every object was familiar to me; but where were all the people who were grieving as if their hearts would break? I was puzzled and alarmed. What could be the meaning of all this? Determined to find the cause of a state of things so mysterious and so shocking, I kept on until I arrived at the East Room, which I entered. There I met with a sickening surprise. Before me was a catafalque, on which rested a corpse wrapped in funeral vestments. Around it were stationed soldiers who were acting as guards; and there was a throng of people, gazing mournfully upon the corpse, whose face was covered, others weeping pitifully. 'Who is dead in the White House?' I demanded of one of the soldiers, 'The President,' was his answer; 'he was killed by an assassin.' Then came a loud burst of grief from the crowd, which woke me from my dream. I slept no more that night; and although it was only a dream, I have been strangely annoyed by it ever since."

Add gizzard and basmati rice… fry for a few minutes, then add water to boil. Add salt to taste.

In essence NC admitted receiving a pouch with some dirty stones…heh heh!  - from two men!! OMG! Buh get dis - she didn’ know dey woz diamonds until somebody tell she what dey was dee nex’ morning. NC said, "I had never heard of Charles Taylor before, never heard of the country Liberia before, had never heard the term 'blood diamonds'.” Like she have ancestral links wid donkey islanders – as per dohtishness quotient - or what ? (^_~) Ah bong tuh get sumbody vex wid dat one – eh. LOL.

Another desalination plant please.

Here we go.. flood in dey backside – solution? Desalination plants!!

Well allyuh know I does enjoy rubbin’ salt in people wounds.. well especially political wounds… and especially when they get all dey deserve. Doh get meh wrong, I empathise with the suffering of all those who have lost property etc due to the floods. Whey I am callous in my position, is the fact that they worshipped a previous regime that was corrupt to the core, failed to unite for so long, and had to reap so much suffering before change happened.

It will take years for the new gov’t to cure the flooding problem – and no, the solution is not to build desalination plants.

Dey jes cyah go on wasting tax-payers money on clean up operations post-flood year-on-year. The solution is better management of water resources i.e. to turn the abundance of water from a destructive force into drinkable or useable water that assists the quality of life of the nation.

So – in a land far away from yuh daily struggles wid gun crime, crash dummies dropping like flies and the moaning and wailing about a regime dat tief out allyuh money – dey is fightin’ a battle for justice… a battle for your rights! Eh heh? Yes – eh heh. Yuh cyah wait – yuh only want tuh get tuh dee sex and diamonds t’ing eh. Hol’ strain nah boy!

Sex – well sex on legs – dat’ll be Naomi Campbell. Diamonds – dat’ll be dee one o’ dee blood diamonds dat a ruthless dicatator allegedly with Trinbagonian links, allegedly gave to Naomi Campbell.

Yep – it’s gonna be a big event. The Captain has the inside word dat 200 journalists are already camping outside dee court..it’s gonna be a media feeding frenzy out dey. How to recognise a rich man

I could not help but notice some pointed incongruities in the news today.

• Colm Imbert-cile hid/sanitised the report on the incident where a man died during the dismantling of a Bailey bridge. This may be because his ministry was found to be at blame for the monumental cock-up, and quite possibly proving once more that the short distance between his brain and arse may have adverse effect.
• Selwyn Cudjoe has inadvertently admitted that blacks are the cause of crime. I may have been proven right again! The comments flooding the website indicate not all the people are fooled.
• Once again, the arrogance of the USA might lead to feelings of hate and of wanting to piss on their heads. Not a bad idea, that latter.

Wey de money gorn? Or wey it coming from?

Long have I doubted the ethics of one Jack Warner… especially when it comes to the issue of football and his FIFA relationships (Andrew Jennings has provided some eye-opening revelations). I am therefore glad to see in the news this morning that a court has upheld that payments are legally owed to the Soca Warriors.
