The Beginning:
Today is my scheduled coronary angioplasty.
I arrived at the hospital 30 minutes early... much too early I hazard a guess because the surgical department responsible wasn't even open. Eventually when it did I was led, along with other patients, to beds prepared for us.
The doctor came to speak privately with each patient and have us sign a patient consent form. Risks, concerns, etc were addressed prior to signing and questions addressed.
I was given one of those awkward hospital gowns, the kind that has your arse exposed and feeling cold.
Also disposable underpants!
After changing, I am sitting and waiting on the actual procedure. Nervous a bit but still confident!
Next: The Procedure.
